Thursday’s POMSOX trading session saw one market index closing on the green amid thin trading. The Kina Securities main index KSi added 8.60 points or 0.15% to finish at 5, 628.24 points while the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was flat at 10, 917.38 points.
Winning stock for the day was dual-listed energy stock Oil Search Ltd, which gained 8toea to close at a high of K18.00.
Meanwhile, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was unchanged at K9.50 at the close.
The day’s session transacted a thin volume of 1, 675 shares worth K31, 820.00.
U.S stocks mostly rose with the Dow ending at a record for a fourth straight session after the Fed raised interest rates as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 12.00 points or 0.05% to close at 24,658.00 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average erased earlier modest gains to edge down while telecommunications shares as the Nikkei slipped 86.40 points or 0.38% to finish at 22,671.67 points. Australian share snapped a five-session winning streak thus ending on the red after a profit warning and Telstra also losing ground. The benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 declined 10 points or 0.2% ending at 6,011 points.
