POMSOX stocks were mixed on Friday. The Kina Securities main Index, KSi, retreated 8.12 points or 0.22% to 3,744.46 points but the Home Index or KSHi gained 40.07 points, 0.49%, to 8,219.37 points.
There was a single stock that gained versus three that fell.
Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) gained 10 toea ending at K2.60 at the close.
Stocks that ended negatively were led by Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) at 19 toea (- 1toea) in terms of trading volume, followed by Oil Search Ltd (OSH) that registered at K16.12, down a toea. Meanwhile, City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) also fell a toea to K1.89.
The only stock that traded unchanged was Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) at K8.00 flat.
In New York, U.S stocks declined overnight with the Dow Jones Industrial Average falling 152.90 points or 0.97% at 15,594.00 points despite the Federal Reserve’s continuing bond-buying stimulus. Today The Nikkei plunged 141.64 points (-1.00%) at 14,086.80 points lower. Likewise, the Australian S&P/ASX 200 fell 21.37 points or 0.39% at 5,400.67 points as bank shares fell after three of the big four traded without the rights to their upcoming dividend payments
