The month’s last trading day saw one stock index closing flat on Wednesday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was down 2.17 points or 0.05% at 4,772.84 points and meanwhile the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unmoved at 10,635.11 points.
BSP Unsecured Notes (BSPHA) gained K1,500 to close higher at K26,500 at the close today.
Financial and banking stock Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) was down by 2toea to end lower at K2.50.
Other stocks traded unchanged were Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) at K9.00 and K17.10 flat respectively.
The day’s trading recorded a total of 38,429 shares valued at K370,171.60.
U.S stocks closed higher touching a record but the market failed to make much headway as oil futures slumped ahead of a key meeting of major crude producers. The Dow Jones Industrial average rose 23.70 points or 0.1% to end at 2,204.66 points. In Asian markets, Japanese stocks ended nearly flat as investors were wary before the OPEC meeting as the Nikkei share average was flat at 18,308.48 points, or 0.01% up 1.44 points. The Australian stock market was modestly lower as weakness in commodity prices weighed on resources stocks and more than offset gains by banks.
