Both stock indices gained amid an active trading session on POMSOX on Wednesday. The Kina Securities main index was up 0.49 points to 4,985.39 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi rose 49.25 points or 0.45% to 11,104.30 points.
On the downside, Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) slipped 10toea lower to finish at K2.50.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was up 5toea to close at K9.60.
Meanwhile, Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was unchanged at K17.00 at the close.
The day’s trading recorded a total substantial volume of 598,544 shares worth K2,194,956.20.
U.S stock benchmarks ended higher recovering from heavy selling to end higher in the session that came after North Korean missile rattled investors. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 15.00 points or 0.07% to 21,889.00 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average rebounded recovering from a near four-month low, rising 116.07 points or 0.60% to 19,478.62 points. The Australian stock market advanced for the first time in three days, tracking gains overnight after concerns about North Korea’s firing missile over Japan eased. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index added 15.00 points of 0.26% to 5,684.00 points.
