Wednesday POMSOX trading saw the Kina Securities Main Index heading lower on moderate trading session. The KSi declined for two consecutive session, down 50.28 points or -1.32 % to 3,761.90 points. However, the home index KSHi maintained at 9,210.94 points.
One out of four stocks lost against now that gained.
Newcrest Mining (NCM) fell a Kina to end at K24.00, causing the Index to negative.
Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) closed at 7 toea flat, followed by financial stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) at K7.12 and K19.22 respectively.
Total trades registered a combined volume of 60,701 shares valued at K74,746.60.
In New York, U.S stocks closed higher on Tuesday as investors eyed the Fed’s meeting, economic data and earnings. The Dow Jones Industrial Average advanced 187.81 points or 1.12% to 17,005.75 points. In japan, the Nikkei share average surged 224 points or 1.46% to 15,554 points as Japanese stocks rose to a 3 week high as a result on industrial data. Australian stocks rose on the back of positive lead from Wall Street overnight, and the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 was almost, down 4.92 points (-0.09%) to end at 5,447.68.
