Both Kina Securities Indices ended lower as POMSoX session closed with a low trading volume. The main index, the KSi, fell 0.31 points to 3,839.82. Similarly, the Home index or the KSHi shed 5.33 points or 0.06% to finish low at 8,224.08 points.
There was a single loss compared to no gains for the session.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) lost a toea to finish K8.00 today.
New Britain Palm Oil Ltd (NBO) was flat at K15.00 as the stock has been consolidating at these levels for almost the whole month of November. Additionally, Oil Search Ltd (OSH) continued to maintain its price at K17.11, while Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) remained at 19 toea. City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP), both are home-listed stocks, also flat at K1.95 and K2.60 respectively.
The day’s session registered a very light volume of 6,449 shares with a monetary value of K5,165.17.
U.S. stocks finished almost flat overnight after erasing gains in the final minutes of trading, as encouraging housing data offset a weaker-than-expected consumer confidence reading. The Dow rose 0.26 points to finish at 16,072.80 for its fourth straight record close. Asian markets moved lower Wednesday amid tension between China and Japan over the China’s claim of air control over its coastal sky region. Japan’s Nikkei share average was down 65.61 points (-0.42%) at 15,449.63 points. Similarly, the Australian stock market opened virtually flat amid weakness in resources stocks and moderate gains for the four big banks. The S&P/ASX 200 fell 24.10 points (-0.2%) at 5,332.90 points at close of market today.
