The Australian market closed flat consecutively following a mixed lead from the Wall Street but mood were dampened by major resources companies such as BHP and RIO that fell almost 1.0% on ASX today. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 declined 11.70 points, 0.22%, to 5,319.77 points.
