Dual-listed banking and financial stock Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) closed 9toea higher to end at K2.60. Oil Search Ltd (OSH) gained 30toea to finish at K17.50.

U.S stocks closed at session lows in overnight trading, after notching record highs, as investors weighed comments by the Feds against sharp gains for oil futures. The Dow Jones Industrial was down 84.03 points (-0.45%) to 18,552.02 points. Japanese stocks bounced after sliding the previous day, though the recovery was contained by a backdrop of cautious trading, however Fed rate comments restrained buyers. The Nikkei climbed 149.13 points (0.90%) at 16,745.64 points. The Australian share market was lower after the Commonwealth Bank went ex-dividend and health stocks fell on weaker-than-expected earnings result. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was down 0.36% at 5,512.30 points.
