KSi Daily Report: Wednesday, 16 November 2016

Wednesday’s POMSOX trading was unchanged amid a rather quiet session with both stock indices closing flat. The Kina Securities Main index KSi was maintained at 4,7785 and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 10,665.24 points.

Dual-listed energy stock Oil Search was the only stock traded today. The stock evened out at K17.10, recording a light volume of 326 shares valued at K5,574.60.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average extended its winning streak for a seventh session to a new record close as the market’s upside momentum remained intact. DJIA added 54 points or 0.3% to finish at 18,924 points. Japanese stocks rose amid choppy trading as the Nikkei share average edged up 194.06 points or 11.0% to 17,862.21 points. The Australian share market retreated to close in the red as heavy losses from mining and health care stocks, ending with mixed results from the sectors. The S&P/ASX 200 ended flat by 1.50 points or 0.03% to 5,327.70 points.
