Both Kina Securities stock indices were in red after Wednesday’s POMSoX session closed with three of six stocks that traded settled lower. The Main index or KSi was down by 41.98 points or 1.19% at 3,497.31 points similarly the home index or KSHi had declined 85.04 points or 0.90% to 9,378.43 points.
POMSoX registered three losses against none that gained.
Stocks moving into negative territory today were led by Highlands Pacific Ltd (HIG) in terms of trading value as the stock fell a toea, New Britain Palm Oil Ltd (NBO) weakened at K25.00, down K1.00. Oil Search Ltd was also down at 14 relinquishing previous gains by 39 toea at K15.61 amid slipping global crude oil prices.
Other stocks that traded unchanged were the financial stocks, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) closed steady at K7.13 and K2.60 respectively, while Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) maintained at 5 toea flat.
Wednesday’s trade registered a combined volume of 166,980 shares valued at K43,269.01.
