Wednesday’s POMSOX trading session closed on positive cues as both stock indexes closed higher. The Kina Securities main index KSi was up 0.32 points or 0.01% to 4,815.68 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi advanced 9.85 points or 0.9% to 10,641.78 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) gained a toea to end at K9.00.
Other stocks traded unchanged were Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) at K46.00 and K17.50 flat respectively.
The day’s trades recorded a total of 3,148 shares valued at K66,185.00.
U.S stocks set fresh records with the Dow Jones Industrial Average closing at a high for the seventh session in a row as the DJIA climbed 114.78 points or 0.6% to end at 19,911.21 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average ended little changed with investors wary of taking fresh positions as the Nikkei ended up 0.25 points to 19,250.77 points. The Australian stock market rebounded after losses in the previous session, following positive cues overnight from Wall Street. The S&P/ASX 200 added 36.50 points or 0.66% to 5,581.50 points.
