Both stock indices edged higher on Wednesday’s POMSOX trading session amid active trading. The Kina Securities main index KSi was up 0.78 points or 0.02% to 4,988.70 points. Similarly, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi rose 23.46 points or 0.21% to 11,106.55 points.
Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) attributed to the positive movement of the indices. The stock added 5toea to close higher at K1.75.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was on the losing streak, sliding by 50toea to end at K17.00. Followed by Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) at K9.56, down by 1toea.
A total of 134,226 was transacted at a value of K244,714.35
The U.S market finished little changed extending its winning streak to a third session as investors absorbed political news surrounding Trump Jr. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 7.00 points or 0.03% to 21,374.00 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average slid as stocks of exporters were sold after the dollar fell against the yen as the Nikkei declined 97.10 points or 0.48% to finish at 20,098.38 points. The Australian share market declined following mixed lead overnight as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index lost 30.50 points or 0.53% to 5,698.40 points.
