Both Kina Securities stock indices were down today. The Kina Securities main index or KSi, closed lower at 3,870.59, down 1.91 points or 0.05%. Likewise, the Kina Securities Home Index or KSHi declined 18.08 points or 0.22% at 8,177.45.
There were two stocks that fell with no gain on today’s trade.
Stocks that inched lower today were a leading financial institution Credit Corporation Limited (CCP) at five toea lower, ending at K2.50. Also, Oil Search Ltd (OSH) dropped by a toea, finishing at K17.50.
All other stocks remained unchanged on the market with City Pharmacy (CPL) at K1.95, Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) at K1.06, Bank South Pacific (BSP) was flat at K7.99.
Today’s trading registered a low volume of 2,729 units at a value of K19,867.40.
In overseas, the Dow Jones Industrial Average of NYSE retreated 53 points or 0.33% closing the market at 16,026 points, waiting further signals from next week’s Federal Reserve meeting while lacking of economic data. The Asian stock were generally weak today, with the Japanese Nikkei falling 96.25 points or 062% ending at 15,515.06 points on profit-taking. Australian stocks closed flat on uncertainty over the U. S. Policy as the S&P/ASX 200 closed lower at 0.77% at 1.41 weighing down big miners and some banking stocks.
