POMSOX trading session on Wednesday was light as both Kina Securities Indices remained unchanged. The Main index KSi closed steady at 3,449.42 points while the Home Index KSHi remained at 9,549.93 points.
There were only four stocks that traded today.
Two financial-listed stocks in POMSoX, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) closed flat at K7.13 and K2.60 respectively. Meanwhile, a junior cap mine explorer Marengo Mining Ltd and agricultural company New Britain Palm Oil Ltd (NBO) ended at 5toea and K26 even respectively.
The day’s trading session registered 102,671 units valued at K40,441.80.
In New York, U.S stocks were lower again with continued slide in WTI oil prices below $49 a barrel. The Dow Jones Industrial Average sliced 130.01 points or 0.74% to 17,371.64 points. Japanese stocks was on course for its first gain in five sessions, snapping a 4-day losing streak. The Nikkei Share Average rose 30 points or 0.18% to 16,913 points Wednesday. The S&P/ASX200 of ASX shed 11.20 points or 0.21% to 5,353.60 points as Australian shares fell for a second straight session today, tracking weakness in Wall Street as tumbling oil prices overnight.
