Wednesday’s POMSOX trading was moderate as both stock indices declined. The Kina Securities main index KSi was down 3.31 points or 0.06% to 5,255.76 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi slumped 98.50 points or 0.88% to 11,036.70 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the losing stock, shedding 10toea to end lower at K9.50 at the close of market.
Meanwhile, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) was unchanged at K1.78.
The day’s session transacted a thin volume of 8,021 shares worth K45,319.50.
In U.S markets, stock market benchmarks logged records for a second straight session as the Dow Jones Industrial average finished 84.07 points or 0.4% higher at 22,641.47 points. Japan’s Nikkei rose to two-highs, cheered by an upbeat outlook for global economy through gains were trimmed by the close as the yen bounced against the dollar. The Nikkei ended 0.06% to 12.59 points higher to 20,626.66 points. The Australian stock market was lower extending losses from the previous session as stocks were lower across the board. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 shed 37.60 points or 0.66% to 5,663.80 points.
