Wednesday’s POMSOX trading was quiet as only one stock traded. The stock ended unchanged for the session on first day of July. The Kina Securities Main Index remained at 3,556.10 points while the Home Index KSHi ended at 9,768.26 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded flat at K7.45.
A total of 166 units valued at K1,236.70 were traded today.
In off-shore markets, U.S stocks ended slightly higher in overnight trading as investors followed talks between Greece and its creditors. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 23.16 points or 0.13% to 17,619.51 points. Similarly, The Nikkei share average rose 105.32 points or 0.52% to 20,341.05 points as Japanese shares gained on Wednesday after the Central Bank survey showed big businesses intended to increase capital spending with cautions over development in Greece limited gains. Likewise, the Australian share market closed higher led by gains in banks and oil stocks after a fall in iron ore prices overnight. The S&P/ASX 200 index collected 93.59 points or 0.46% to 20,329.32 points.
