U.S stocks closed lower on Tuesday after a retreat among healthcare and industrial companies, with the Dow posting a slight decline for the year’s first quarter. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 200.19 points or 1.11% to 17,776.12 points. Likewise, Tokyo shares fell on Wednesday as investors sold recent gainers to lock profit, as the Nikkei share average fell 145.84 points or 0.76% to 19,061.15 points. The Australian share market was also weaker, as further commodity price declines put mining and resources stocks under pressure and fuel volatility. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 fell 39.81 points or 0.68% to 5,851.70 points.
