Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session was active as both Kina Securities Stock Indices closed in the positive territory. The main index, KSi gained 10.41 points or 0.31% to 3,373.05 points. Likewise, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was 9.85 points or 0.11% higher to 9,120.58 points.
One out of three stocks gained with no other movements.
Dual-listed oil and gas stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was the winning stock, gaining 10toea to end at K14.30.
Meanwhile Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Highlands Pacific Ltd (HIG) were unchanged at K7.50 and 20toea flat respectively.
The day’s trading registered a total of 213,486 shares valued at K81,312.15.
U.S stocks switched between small gains and losses as sharp gains in energy and materials stocks were offset by a drop in technology and consumer shares. The Dow Jones Industrial Average collected 67.18 points or 0.40% to 17,073.95 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average trimmed losses, crawling back from a near one-week low as investors were seen scoping up cheap stocks on the dips. Nikkei share average was down 67.55 points or 0.40% to 16,843.77 points. The Australian share market has closed lower descending through the sessions as the big banks and miners gave up Monday’s gains. S&P/ASX 200 closed 34.81 points or 0.68% lower to 5,108.00 points.
