Tuesday’s trading session on POMSOX saw both Kina Securities Indices heading south. The Kina Securities Index, KSi, fell 1.73 points or 0.02% to 3,671.32 points. Likewise, the Home Index or KSHi shed 17.05 points or 0.21% to close at 8,081.74 points.
Trading was modestly active registering two losses against nil stock that gained.
Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) declined by 1 toea to close at 11 toea, while New Britain Palm Oil Ltd (NBO) retreated 10 toea to K15.00. Both stocks attributed to weaker performance of both indices today.
Stocks that traded but remained unmoved were Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and Bank South Pacific Ltd at K2.70 and K7.70 respectively. Meanwhile, Oil Search Ltd (OSH) continued to hold at K18.20.
Total shares recorded today were 76,326 units at share value of K54,835.28.
U.S markets were closed on Monday due to Memorial Day public holiday. Asian stocks climbed to a fresh seven-week high on Tuesday as recent upbeat Chinese and U.S data continued to lift investor’s risk. The Nikkei share average rose 61 points or 0.42% to close at 14,664 points. Australian shares ended higher following gains from banks and iron ore suppliers. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 edged 4.17 points or 0.08% to close at 5,517 points today.
