Tuesday’s POMSOX trading was modest as five stocks traded but ended unchanged. The Kina Securities main index, KSi was stable at 3,575.10 points while the Kina Securities Home index, KSHi maintained at 9,579.21 points.
Stocks traded were financials Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd and K7.35 and K2.40 flat respectively. Followed closely by City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) and Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) even at K1.39 and K25.00 respectively while Oil Search Ltd (OSH) ended at K16.00 unmoved.
Total shares registered today were 39,426 units at a monetary value of K143,119.18.
In markets abroad, U.S. stocks finished with gains in overnight trading with The Dow Jones Industrial Average gaining 125.61 points, or 0.8%, to 16,510.19, with 25 of its 30 members closing higher. The Japanese markets remained closed today in observance of the Bridge Public Holiday. Meanwhile, Australia’s benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 34 points, or 0.67% at 5,100.2 points buoyed by energy sector after a rebound in oil prices contributed to strong gains.
