Both Kina Securities indices retreated after one out of three stocks that traded today on POMSoX declined on close of Tuesday. The main index KSi dropped 0.84 points or 0.02% to close at 3,490.71 points. Likewise, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi fell 26.65 points or 0.28% to 9,566.27 points.
A financial stock, Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) closed lower at K2.20, down 4 toea.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) maintained at K7.50 and K14.80 flat respectively.
A combined volume of 9,042 units of shares at a worth of K56,443.40 was recorded.
U.S stocks rallied into the close and finished Monday with gains as investors shrugged off weak oil prices. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 123.07 points or 0.72% higher to 17,251.62 points. Tokyo stocks were flat as investors sought fresh trading cues, while Toshiba tumbles on record loss. The Nikkei Index was 16.24 points or 0.09% lower to 18,899.78 points. Australian shares made slight gains as the S&P/ASX200 benchmark index added 7.64 points or 0.15% to 5,116.69 points.
