POMSOX was quiet on Tuesday’s trading session with only one stock traded. The main index KSi was unchanged at 3,769.75 points and the same went to the KSHi, the Home index which ended at 9,459.36 points flat.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded for the entire session. At K7.12, the stock registered a total volume of 5,544 shares valued at K39,473.28.
In U.S markets, the U.S stocks rallied and closed higher in overnight trading with no major economic data releases. The DJIA edged 39.81 or 0.23% higher to 17,613.74 points. The Nikkei extended gains on speculation, propelled by buying in futures and call options. Japanese share average advanced 344 points or 2.05% to 17,124 points. The S&P/ASX 200 shed 6.86 points or 0.12% to 5,517.10 points, as the Australian shares stayed at the flat-line, weighed down by resources.
