KSi Daily Report: Tuesday 09, September 2014

POMSOX trading mostly gave up gains from yesterday heading Kina Securities stock indices into negative territory, caused by one home stock that retreated. The KSi was down by 2.98 points or 0.08% at 3,747.99 points, and the Home Index KSHi declined 170.53 points or 2.07% to 8,072.13 points.

Today’s session recorded two gains versus one loss.

Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) recouped 1 toea at 8 toea.

New Britain Palm Oil Ltd (NBO) closed lower by K1.00 to K17.00 as the loss weighed on both indices.

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Oil Search Ltd (OSH) stayed at K7.20 and K19.15 respectively, while a financial stock Credit Corp Ltd (CCP) remained at K2.60 toea,

Tuesday registered a combined trading volume of 196,597 shares valued at K146,914.00.

In New York, U.S stocks ended lower on falling energy stocks, after five straight weeks of gains that sent the main benchmarks to record highs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 25.94 points or 0.15% to end at 17,111.42 points. Japanese stocks edged up on Tuesday on a higher dollar, moving close to its seven-month high of 15,829.38 hit last week. The Nikkei share average rose 44 points or 0.28% at 15,749 points. The S&P/ASX 200 index rose 30.93 points or 0.55% to end at 5,607.90 points today as Australian shares closed higher despite the fall on resources sector.
