In New York, U.S stocks ended lower on falling energy stocks, after five straight weeks of gains that sent the main benchmarks to record highs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 25.94 points or 0.15% to end at 17,111.42 points. Japanese stocks edged up on Tuesday on a higher dollar, moving close to its seven-month high of 15,829.38 hit last week. The Nikkei share average rose 44 points or 0.28% at 15,749 points. The S&P/ASX 200 index rose 30.93 points or 0.55% to end at 5,607.90 points today as Australian shares closed higher despite the fall on resources sector.
