Kina Securities Stock Indices ended the day in opposite path. The Kina Securities Indices or KSi edged up by 0.26 points to 3,630.04 points, whilst Home Index or KSHi ended 10.64 points or 0.29% lower at 8,130.97 points after POMSoX closed.
There was one stock that lost against a gainer while another two traded unchanged.
A leading oil and gas company, Oil Search Ltd (OSH) earned the day at K17.68, adding one toea.
The loss belonged to the bank Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) which shed two toea to close at K7.78 on the market.
Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) a junior Cap miner and financial Co Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) ended at 14 toea and K2.70 respectively.
Today’s trading session recorded 9,448 shares at a share value of K12,702.10.
The U.S stocks fell sharply on Monday as heavy selling in high-growth stocks which began on Friday continued to spill over the broader market. The Dow Jones Industrial average plunged 166.84 points, or 1.02% to end at 16,245.87 points. The Nikkei share average fell 202 points or 1.36% to 14,406 points as Japanese stocks led Asia lower on Tuesday before the end of Bank of Japan’s policy meeting, while all regional technology stocks fell. In Australian ASX the S&P/ASX 200 was also almost flat down, edging 3.10 points lower to close the market at 5,410.63 points.
