The main stock index declined while the other maintained on Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session. The Kina Securities main index KSi fell 1.08 points or 0.02% to 4,983.14 points while the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was maintained at 11,002.73 points.
On the downside, Oil Search Ltd attributed to the negative movement as the stock close a toea lower at K17.00.
Followed by BSP Unsecured Notes (BSPHA), slipped K300.00 to end at K25,000.00.
Bank South Pacific Ltd and Agmark NGIP Ltd (NGP) both evened out at K9.55 and 70toea flat respectively.
There was a substantial trade volume of 87,428 shares registered at a value of K848,683.05.
In other news, U.S stocks closed higher ending at a record and the Dow extending its streak of such closing highs to nine. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 4.00 points and 0.02% to 22,058.00 points. The Nikkei was down, dropped 63.60 points or 0.32% to 19,992.29 points. The Australian stock market was modestly lower with heavyweight miners among the leading losers as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index lost 4.90 points or 0.09% to 5,739.30 points.
