Both Kina Securities Indices were on the red after Wednesday’s trading session. The Kina Securities main index, KSi, shed 6.31 points or 0.08% to 3,685.10. Likewise the Home Index, KSHi, declined 106.47 points or 1.32% to end at 7,974.86.
Only one stock lost compared to three stocks that traded unchanged.
Leading financial institution Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) ended on the losing side. Ended at K7.50, the share fell 20 toea today.
Junior cap exploration stock Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) led in terms of trading volume at 11 toea. Meanwhile portfolio management stock Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) closed at K1.07 and Newcrest (NCM) traded thinly at K24.00 flat.
The day’s session recorded volume of 18,851 units at value of K5,580.83.
U.S stocks fell after as investors ahead of U.S. jobs report and a decision from the European Central Bank on monetary policy. On Tuesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 21.29 points or 0.13% to 16,722.34 points. Asian stocks retreated as investors also await U.S jobs data. The Nikkei share edged up amidst choppy trades on Wednesday, collecting 34 points or 0.22% at 15,068. Australian share market traded lower despite better-than-expected headline economic growth figures. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 fell 35.18 points or 0.64% to 5,444.50 points.
