Both stock indices were maintained on Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session amid thin trading. The Kina Securities main index KSi was unchanged at 5,259.07 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 11,135.20 points.
Banking and financial stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded, registering 836 shares worth K8,025.60.
U.S markets finished with record gains as equities resumed a steady run-up that could set the tone for the final three months of 2017. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 152.51 points or 0.68% to 22,557.60 points. Japanese stocks hit fresh two-year highs as the Nikkei share average rose 0.9% to 20,582.26 points. The Australian stock market declined as investors treaded cautiously ahead of RBA’s interest rate decision. S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index slipped 21.20 points or 0.37% to 5,708.10 points.
