POMSOX was quiet for Tuesday’s trading session with only one stock traded. The main index KSi was unchanged at 4,156.07 points and the same went to the KSHi, the Home index which ended at 9,112.94 points flat.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only stock traded for the entire session. At K7.50, the stock registered a total volume of 5,135 units valued at K38,512.50.
In off-shore news, US stocks closed higher and near session highs in overnight trading, The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 117.52 points, or 0.7%, to finish at 17,891.16. Shares of Home Depot Inc. and Visa Inc. led the average higher. In Japan, markets were closed in observance of Constitution Memorial Day. The Australian share market has jumped nearly 2%, boosted by investors looking for bargains among the big banks, and a cut to interest rates. At the close on Tuesday, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was up 110.8 points at 5,353.8 points.
