Tuesday’s POMSOX trading session closed lower as both Kina Securities stock indices declined. The Kina Securities main index KSi was down 0.84 points or 0.02% to 4,647.91 points. Similarly, the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi fell 26.65 points or 0.27% to 9,814.71 points.
One stock lost versus nil gains.
Financial stock Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) shed 2toea to end lower at K1.66.
Other stocks unmoved were banking stocks Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) at K8.27 and K2.51 flat respectively. Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was unchanged at K17.15.
Total shares transacted today were 13,528 worth K30,226.40.
U.S stocks lost momentum to finish mostly lower in overnight trading as crude-oil futures to bear-market territory as the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 27.73points or 0.2% to close at 18,404.51 points. Japan’s shares average fell for the first time in three days as falling oil prices sour mood, financials down. The Nikkei share average was down 230.29 points or 1.38% to 16,405.48 points. The Australian stock market was lower amid cautious trades as investors awaited the Reserve Bank of Australia’s monetary policy decision due later in the day. The S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index declined 5.00 points or 0.09% to 5,5560.50 points.
