POMSOX stocks trading was quiet but the Kina Securities main index edged higher at the close. The KSi was up 94.27 points (2.7%) at 3,585.53 points. meanwhile the Kina Securities Home index KSHi was steady at 9,463.47 points.
Thursday’s session registered a gain versus none that lost.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was the sole contributor to the positive movement of the indices as the stock gained K1.00, ending at K17.00.
Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) was traded unmoved at K2.60. Followed by BSP unsecured notes (BSPHA), ending at K26,000.00 flat.
Only 4,232 units were traded worth of K158,515.99.
U.S stocks pared early losses to end higher in overnight trading as investors considered earnings and the expected launch of a quantitative easing program by ECB. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 39.05 points (+0.22%) to 17, 554.28 points. Japanese shares were flat in choppy trade as the market digested expectations to be unveiled by ECB. The Nikkei share average added 2 points(+0.01%) to 17,283 points. The benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 gained 26.56 points (+0.49%) to 5,419.94 points with all sectors closing high on the back of high expectations of the ECB.
