POMSOX trading session was moderate on Thursday’s session with one stock index climbing with another index maintaining. The Kina Securities Main index KSi collected 20.23 points or 0.42% to 4,795.58 points while the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 10,665.24 points.
One stock gained compared to nil losses.
Winning stock was Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was up, gaining 20toea to end higher at K17.30.
Meanwhile, Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) both evened out at K8.99 and K1.95 flat respectively. Followed closely was Kina Securities Ltd (KSL) ending unchanged at K2.70 at the close of market.
In markets abroad, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed lower, snapping a seven-session winning streak as well as string of four consecutive record close. DJIA declined 54.92 points or 0.3% to close at 18,868.14 points. Japanese stocks edged higher as the Nikkei share average rose 0.42 points higher to 17,862.63 points. The Australian stock market edged higher following mixed lead from Wall Street and lower commodity prices, as the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 added 1.70 points or 0.03% to 5,329.40 points.
