The Kina Securities Main index closed in positive territory for second straight session on POMSOX Tuesday. The KSi advanced 50.64 points or 1.33% at 3,860.75 points. However, the Kina Securities Home index or KSHi stayed unchanged at 9,738.78 points today.
One stock gained versus with no loss.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was the sole winner for the session, up 50toea to K16.50 reflecting ASX’s recent strengthening mining prices and improving world oil prices. The dual listed oil and gas company on ASX closed at $8.09, up 16 cents today.
Meanwhile Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) registered K7.40 unchanged, followed by City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) at K1.40 even.
Thursday’s trading recorded a combined volume of 22,747 units at K41,069.50.
Overnight trading gains in Wall Street sent key U.S. stock indexes close to record levels on better-than-expected earnings and a jump in oil prices. The Dow Jones Industrial Average added 75.71 points, or 0.4%, to 18,112.41 points, with more than two-thirds of its 30 components finishing with gains. Japanese stocks edged up on Thursday, after Wall Street’s gains.. The Nikkei share average ended 16.01 points higher or 0.08% at 19,885.77 points after trading in negative territory earlier. The Australian share market followed the upward trend, closing higher due to better than expected jobs numbers and higher commodity prices. The benchmark S&P/ASX200 index went up 39.10 points, or 0.66% at 5,947.50 points by close of market today.
