KSi Daily Report: Thursday, 14 September 2017

Both Kina Securities stock indices remained steady for the third consecutive session after POMSoX trading closed on Thursday. The main index or the KSi was untouched at 5,199.86 points while the home index stayed at 11,005.80 points at the close.

There were three stocks traded during the session, all ended flat.

Oil Search Ltd (OSH) led the trading in value, as the largest PNG oil & gas producer finished at K17.00 even. Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) also registered a few trades at K9.50 unchanged, followed by Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) at K1.78 flat.

Thursday’s trading recorded a total of 10,713 shares with a value of K102,121.00.
In off-shore news, U.S. stock-market eked out small gains with the Dow Jones closing at all-time highs on Wednesday. The main indexes spent most of the session flipping between small gains and losses as investors took a pause after several days of gains. The DJIA closed 39.32 points, or 0.18%, higher at 22,158.18 points. In Asia, The Japanese Nikkei was down 58.38 points or 0.29% at 19,807.44 points as weak Chinese economic data offset early gains. Likewise, The ASX ended the day in the red, pulled down by the miners for Thursday trading, notching a second loss in four sessions The S&P/ASX 200 index lost 5.60 points or 0.1% to end the day’s trading at 5,738.70.
