Both stock indices edged higher for a second consecutive session amid moderate trading. The Kina Securities main index KSi was up by 1.00 points or 0.02% to 4,989.70 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi advanced 29.75 points or 0.27% to 11,136.30 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) closed at a high of K9.60, adding 4toea.
Meanwhile, Agmark NGIP Ltd (NGP) slipped a toea to close at 70toea.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was maintained at K17.00 at the close.
Thursday’s POMSOX trading session registered a volume of 69,091 shares worth K259,662.90.
U.S stocks closed higher ending with a record in nearly a month as the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 123.07 points or 0.6% at 21,532.14 points. Japanese shares slipped, shedding 1.43 points or 0.29% to 20,099.81 points. The Australian market advanced with stocks gaining across the board following higher commodity prices lifting resources stocks. S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index gained 42.30 points or 0.75% to 5,729.30 points.
