Thursday’s POMSOX trading session saw the Kina Securities main index KSi gave up yesterday’s gains amid a moderate session. The main index KSi declined 47.46 points or 1.30% to 3,603.27 points. Meanwhile the Kina Securities Home index KSHi was steady at 9,798.62 points.
There was only one stock that lost compared to nil gains.
Big miner Newcrest Mining Ltd (NCM) was the losing stock for the day, down by a K1 ending at K24.00.
Other stocks traded were financials Bank South Pacific (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) at K7.45 and K2.60 flat respectively. Followed by Oil Search Ltd (OSH) closed at K17.00 even.
A total of 23,586 units of shares were registered at a value of K96,056.00.
U.S stocks ended a choppy session with little change on Wednesday as Greek worries continued to be in focus. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 6.62% or 0.04% to 17,862.14 points. The Nikkei share average rose 327.04 points or 1.85% to 17,979.72 points. Australian shares continued its slide for the fourth straight session as energy-related stocks fell during the afternoon. The ASX/S&P/ 200 lost 25.51 points or 0.44% to 5,743.57 points.
