Today’s POMSOX trading session saw positive movements in the Kina Securities Stock Indices. The Kina Securities Main Index, KSi was up 6.50 points or 0.14% to 4,770.97 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index or KSHi advanced 109.99 points or 1.04% to 10,647.82 points.
All three stocks traded today gained compared to nil losses.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) led the winners, adding 5toea to close up at K9.00 followed by Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) at K1.85, up a toea. Energy stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) also rose by 4toea to end up at K17.05.
The day’s trading session transacted a total of 24,444 shares worth K72,853.45.
The U.S stock market rebounded from two days of losses on the back of strong economic data and a rally in oil prices. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 110 points or 0.6% to finish at 18,279 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average rose for a fourth straight session as weaker yen boosted investors’ risk appetite gaining 0.5% to 16,899.10 points. The Australian share market was higher helped by positive cues from Wall Street and strong gains in energy prices. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index was up with gains led by mining and energy shares, up 16.5 points or 0.3% at 5,469..40 points.
