Both Kina Securities stock indices closed higher on POMSOX Thursday’s trading session. The Kina Securities main index or KSi added 1.17points or 0.03% to 4,650.40 points. The Kina Securities Main index KSHi edged up 68.95 points or 0.70% to 9,893.51 points.

Energy stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) shed a toea to end at K17.15 at the close.

The Dow industrials snapped its seven-session losing streak as oil prices rallied with the DJIA adding 9.00 points or 0.05% to 18,278.00 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average gained as bargain hunting prevailed, closing up 171.78 points or 1.07% to 16,254.89 points. The Australian stock market advanced following modest gains overnight on Wall Street and the rise in crude oil prices. Mining and oil stocks are among the leading gainers. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index added 36.10 points 0.66% to 5,501.80 points.
