KSi Daily Report: Thursday, 02 October 2014

Thursday’s POMSOX trading session was quiet as both Kina Securities Indices ended lower. The main index KSi closed at 3,725.24 points and home index KSHi shed 5.33 points or 0.07% to end at 7,715.35 points.

There were ten trades registered with one stock fell.

A leading financial stock Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) closed at K7.19, down by 1 toea amid a low trading volume.

NGIP Agmark Ltd was the only other stock that traded today which closed at 79 toea even.

Total shares registered today were 6,059 units valued at K35,468.21.

In New York, U.S stocks suffered in overnight trading as the stocks begin the fourth quarter on a down note after disappointing Eurozone and U.S manufacturing data. The Dow Jones Industrial Jones Average slipped 238.19 points or 1.40% at 16,804.71 points. Asian markets were subdued as investors booked profits in Japan amid concerns over the end of the Fed’s stimulatory bond-buying program. The Nikkei share average dropped 420 points or 2.61% to 15,662. The S&P/ASX200 shed 36.43 points or 0.68% at 5,297.70 as Australian shares also headed lower following weak Wall Street.
