Monday’s POMSOX trading session saw one stock index gaining while another maintained. The Kina Securities main index KSi was up 8.61 points or 0.16% to finish at 5,285.92 points. Meanwhile the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was flat at 11,037.68 points.
Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was up by 8toea, ending higher at K17.79, attributing to the movement in the main index.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was unchanged at K9.50 at the close.

In markets abroad, U.S stocks finished lower as there was consideration for a cut in corporate taxes by the House of Representatives. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 85.45 points or 0.4% to finish at 23,384.74 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average made little headway in choppy trade with gains in suppliers to Apple Inc offset by selling in financials as the Nikkei ended flat at 22,011.67 points after hitting a fresh 21-year high. The Australian share market was flat pulled back by record-high territory as most other international markets fell. S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index rose 15.90 points or 0.27% to close at 5,919.10 points.
