KSi Daily Report: Monday, 28 November 2016

POMSOX trading session on Monday was unchanged amid a rather quiet session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was maintained at 4,774.61 points and likewise the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unmoved at 10,641.78

Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) were the only stocks traded, closing flat at K9.00 and K1.90 respectively.

Today’s trading session registered a total of 3,895 shares valued at K16,382.00.

U.S markets opened for a shortened trading session but the partial holiday did not deter stock investors, with Black Friday sales helping the markets to soar. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 68.96 points or 0.36% to 19,152 points. Japan’s Nikkei share average fell snapping a seven-day winning streak as investors took profits from its recent gains after the yen strengthened against the dollar. The Nikkei dropped 24.33 points or 0.13% to 18,356.89 points. The Australian stock market was lower despite modest gains on Wall Street as weak commodity prices weighed on resource stocks. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 declined 16.30 points or 0.30% to 5,491.50 points.
