Monday’s trading session on POMSOX was quiet as only one stock, a leading oil and gas company Oil Search Ltd (OSH) traded but it closed in positive. The Kina Securities main index KSi thus gained ground by 11.12 points or 0.23% to 4,862.99 points. Meanwhile the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was unchanged at 10,970.60 points.
The stock traded at K17.87, up by 11toea, the dual – listed stock on ASX also closed higher up 2 cents at $6.92.
The day’s trading registered 532 units in total at a share value of K9,506.84.
In overseas news, U.S. stocks edged lower on Friday but managed to post moderate weekly gains with investors awaiting further catalysts before jumping back into the market. The Dow Jones Industrial Average slid 19.93 points, or 0.1%, to close at 20,914.62 points. Japanese stock markets were closed today in observance of Vernal Equinox day. Meanwhile, The Australian share market has ended in the red, hampered by weakness in the big banks and energy companies. At the close, the benchmark S&P/ASX 200 index surrendered 20.7 points, or 0.36% to 5,778.9 points
