POMSOX trading opened the week in quiet trading as both Kina Securities Indices remained unchanged. The main index KSi stayed at 3,454.49 points while the home index KSHi was stable at 9,463.47 points.
Two stocks traded today ended flat.
PNG’s leading financial stock in terms of market capitalization Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) closed at K7.13 even. Meanwhile oil and gas stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was unmoved at K15.61.

Last Friday U.S stocks ended the week on a high note, as a rebound in oil and calmer currency markets provided a rare boost of confidence. The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 190.86 points or 1.10% to 17,511.57 points. On Monday, the Nikkei share average gained 173 points or 1.02% to 17,037 points as Japanese stocks also rebounded after strong economic data buoyed sentiment. Australian shares snapped a 5 day losing streak helped by broad based gains across all sectors. At the close, the S&P/ ASX 200 added 9.87 points or 0.19% to 5,309.10 points.
