POMSOX was quiet on Monday’s trading session as both Kina Securities indices remained unchanged. The main index KSi registered at 3,746.49 points while the Home Index KSHi was stable at 8,065.08 points.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) was the only trade on Tuesday. At K7.20, the stock ended flat with light volume of 277 units with value of K1,994.40.
In overseas markets, U.S stocks suffered on Friday as energy shares extended their recent slide trading and the Dow Jones Industrial share average fell 61.49 points or 0.36% to end at 16,987.51 points. Japanese share prices rose today for the fifth straight session to end at an eight-month high despite regional weak performances. The Nikkei share average rose 39 points or 0.25% to end at 15,948 points. Australian share market closed lower following weak factory data out of China and sliding iron ore price. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 slipped 48.74 points or 0.88% to close at 5,482.40 points today.
