Oil Search Ltd (OSH) was the sole winner, registering a few trades at K17.86, up 4 toea.
Stocks that traded on a loss were led by investment portfolio company, Kina Asset Management Ltd (KAM) in terms of trading volume. Ending at K1.05, the share declined 5 toea. An junior cap miner Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) sliced a toea at 13 toea, while City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) registered at K1.90 respectively, down 4 toea today.
Stocks that traded unchanged were financial institutions Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) and Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) finishing at K7.78 and K2.70 respectively.
Monday’s POMSOX session registered a considerable high volume of 204,966 shares with monetary value of K270,307.19.
Markets abroad, U.S stocks were again on sharp losses Friday, after an extended selloff in tech stocks last week. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 143.47 points or 0.89% to end at 16,026.75 points. Asia’s major regional stock indices were weaker as raw material declined amid tensions in Ukraine. Japan’s Nikkei share average fell 50 points or 0.36% at 13,910 points. Australian share market followed U.S stock decline with the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index retreating 69.75 or 1.28% at 5,358.90 points.
