Both Kina Securities indices closed unchanged amid active trading on POMSoX Monday. The Kina Securities main index, the KSi, closed flat at 3,872.39 points. Similarly, the Home index or the KSHi remained stable at 8,217.11 points.
All six stocks traded during today’s session were unmoved.
Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) and Credit Corp Ltd (CCP) led the unchanged as both financial stocks closed flat at K7.99 and K2.60 respectively. Additionally, NGIP Agmark Ltd (NGP) completed at 82 toea flat while City Pharmacy Ltd (CPL) closed K1.96 even on thin volume. Mining stocks followed on with Oil Search Ltd (OSH) still strong at K17.52 and Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) at 15 toea flat.
The day’s trading recorded a substantial volume of 137,668 shares with a monetary value of K106,963.04
On New York Friday, The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 7.71 points to 16,437.05 after a weaker-than-expected payrolls report that doubted the recovery strength of the U.S. economy. On Monday, Asian stocks were firmer. Meanwhile, the Japanese stock market was closed today to observe the coming of age day. In Australia, the S&P/ASX 200 closed 20.30 points or 0.38% lower at 5,292.10 points amid disappointing US job figures.
