KSi Daily Report: Monday, 11 August 2014

POMSoX was quiet on Monday’s session but ended with both Kina Securities indices registering losses at the close. The main index, the KSi dipped 6.14 points (-0.16%) to 3,775.49 points. Likewise, the Kina Securities Home index, the KSHi lost 106.48 points (-1.22%) at 8,640.50 points.

There was a single lose registered on POMSoX today, against no gain.0

The downfall came from Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP), the financial stock gave up 20 toea to close at K7.20 today.

Meanwhile Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP)was only stock traded unchanged today at K2.70 even.

Today’s trading session registered a light volume of 3,219 shares at a value of K16,683.30.

In overnight trading, U.S stocks rose amid the prospect of U.S air strikes in Iraq as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 185.66 points or 1.13% to end at 16,553.93 points. On the Asian market, stocks rose with the benchmark index heading for its biggest rally in six months as Japanese shares led gains. Japan’s Nikkei share average advanced 352 points or 2.38% to end at 15,131 points. Australian share market followed Wall Street’s lead and closed higher as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index rose 21.69 points or 0.40% to 5,457 points at the close of market today.
