In overnight trading, U.S stocks rose amid the prospect of U.S air strikes in Iraq as the Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 185.66 points or 1.13% to end at 16,553.93 points. On the Asian market, stocks rose with the benchmark index heading for its biggest rally in six months as Japanese shares led gains. Japan’s Nikkei share average advanced 352 points or 2.38% to end at 15,131 points. Australian share market followed Wall Street’s lead and closed higher as the S&P/ASX 200 benchmark index rose 21.69 points or 0.40% to 5,457 points at the close of market today.
