Monday’s POMSOX trading session closed on a moderate session as one stock index rose. The Kina Securities main index KSi was up 2.63 points or 0.06% at 4,779.15 points. Meanwhile, the Kina Securities Home Index was maintained at 10,641.73 points.
One stock rose while another closed lower.
Dual-listed stock Oil Search Ltd (OSH) attributed to the positive movement in the main index, ending a toea higher to close at K17.03.
Meanwhile, Junior cap explorer Highlands Pacific Ltd (HIG) ended 2toea lower to finish at 18toea today.
Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) was the only other stock traded unchanged at K1.90.
The day’s trading recorded a total of 15,388 shares valued at K31,228.10.
U.S stocks closed lower in overnight trading, turning in the first losing week out of the past four after the economy added fewer than expected jobs. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 28.01 points or 0.2% to close at 18,240.49 points. Japanese stocks slipped amid investor caution before an impending U.S jobs report data, fell 0.2% to 16,860.09 points. The Australian share market closed fractionally higher as gains in financial and resource heavyweights, offset losses in energy stocks on the back of lower oil prices. The benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 finished up 8 points or 0.15% at 5,475.4 points.
