The first trading day of July closed unchanged as there was no trades registered on Monday’s POMSOX session. The Kina Securities main index KSi was maintained at 4,831.17 points and similarly the Kina Securities Home Index KSHi was steady at 11,097.18 points.
In markets abroad, U.S stocks ended modestly higher as steep losses in technology and health care stocks as the Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 62.60 points or 0.29% to 21,349.60 points. Asian stocks were mostly lower in cautious trades following cues overnight as investors digested a raft of regional economic data including BOJ’s quarterly survey. Japan’s Nikkei share average slipped 0.9% to finish at 20,033.43 points. The Australian market edged lower as the benchmark index S&P/ASX 200 gained 5.60 points or 0.10% to 5,715.90 points.
