KSi Daily Report: Thursday, 28 September 2017

Both Kina Securities Indices remained unchanged amid quiet trading on POMSOX on Thursday. The main index or KSi was steady at 5,219.27 points while the home index or KSHi remained at 11,103.33 points at the close.

There was only one stock that traded today.

The leading financial institution, Bank South Pacific (BSP) was traded at K9.60 with 42,342 units worth K406,483.20.In markets abroad, The U.S. stock-market indexes closed higher in overnight trading with the financial and technology sectors driving the gains. The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 56.39 points, or 0.3%, to 22,340.71. Japan’s Nikkei share average rebounded on Thursday after Wall Street gained and the dollar rose against the yen. The Nikkei gained 0.3 percent to 20,318.45 in midmorning trade, after falling for two days. The Australia share market is off early highs but strengths in the banking sectors and sharp gains from AGL and BlueScope help the index stay positive. The S&P/ASX 200 index was up 6.70 points or 0.11% at 5,671.00 points at close.
