The sole winner for the session was Bank South Pacific Ltd (BSP) added 2 toea to close at K7.30.
On the downside, Oil Search Ltd (OSH) declined 2 toea at K19.20 followed by Credit Corporation Ltd (CCP) at K2.60 down by 10 toea. The stock’s negative movement weighed on both indices.
Marengo Mining Ltd (MMC) was flat at 9 toea the only stock traded unchanged.
BSP Unsecured (BSPHA) also traded unchanged at K25,000.00 flat.
Friday’s session recorded a combined volume of 139,201 units worth K405,006.26.
In overseas markets, U.S stocks slipped as investors processed a deluge of earnings reports and mixed economic data. The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined 2.83 points or 0.02% to 17,083.80 points. The Nikkei closed at its highest level in six months buoyed by fresh record highs reporting strong profits. Japan’s Nikkei share average gained 173 points or 1.13% to 15,458 points. Australian share market closed slightly lower, backing off seven straight sessions of gains. The benchmark S&P/ASX 200 fell 4.30 points or 0.08% to close at 5,583.50 points.
